So who the f*** are Flip Flop Records? Why’s it called Flip Flop Records? Who puts the word ‘flop’ in any name, except for companies that make flip flops?
It all started back in the 90’s.
Picture the scene, you just finish school and get your first job at the world famous Rockfield studios. Your first session is working with The Stone Roses on The Second Coming. Well that’s exactly what happened to Nick (Brino to his mates), the founder of Flip Flop.
He then went on to work on classic albums with Oasis, Coldplay, Ash, Bruce Springsteen, Super Furry Animals, Teenage Fan Club, Thunder, The Darkness, and many, many more amazing artists . With over 30 years experience in the record industry, Nick decided to set up a label and Flip Flop Records was born.
