An Early Bird joins Flip Flop Records

"An Early Bird is the moniker of Italian singer-songwriter Stefano De Stefano.

Born in Naples, Italy, Stefano first developed his musical identity with his previous band, recording an album in Wolverhampton with producer Gavin Monaghan and sharing stages with artists including The Charlatans, Ian Brown, Turin Brakes and Ocean Colour Scene.

Since going solo as An Early Bird, Stefano has released seven albums and toured extensively across Italy and Europe, performing alongside artists such as Starsailor, Jake Bugg, Fink, Wallis Bird, Amistat and S. Carey. He has also released collaborations with James Walsh of Starsailor and Turin Brakes.

His music has always moved between indie, folk and pop, but in 2026 An Early Bird opened a new chapter, moving towards a more guitar-driven indie rock sound. The new material marks a clear evolution from his previous work, while keeping songwriting and storytelling at its centre."
